So, today marks three whole months since I moved to Alabama. Some days it feels like we just moved here and some days i feels like we've been here forever. At times it has been tough, missing my family and friends and church, but there have also been several blessings in my life since we moved here. Wonderful new friends and a wonderful new church! I am blessed!
Another blessing is that I went to a local store today and filled out an application, had an interview on the spot, and got hired! I start tomorrow :) I guess it's not a huge deal to most people but it's definitely made me smile! Yep, I'm blessed!
And yet another blessing... Chloe's glasses weren't supposed to come in until Saturday but she has been praying every day since we ordered them on Friday that they would come in before school on Wednesday because she has a test. I didn't figure that they would come that early but, sure enough, when I got home from my interview I had a voicemail that her glasses had come in! When she got home I told her and her first reaction was "Jesus answered my prayer!" I am so blessed!
Last night we had some friends over for dinner and to just hang out. We ate, talked, and laughed! It was a really good time and I'm so glad to have made such good new friends. The past few days have been absolutely wonderful and I am loving life right now! I'm sure there will be hard days along the way but I know how blessed I am. All of my good days outweigh the bad days and I CAN'T COMPLAIN!
I Am Blessed!

A Few Random Things
My parents left a few days ago to go back to Mississippi. It was sad but I did have a few things to keep me busy and my mind occupied. I still miss all of my family and friends but things are definitely getting better. I really am starting to like Alabama more and more every day.
Last week I got a call from Chloe's school nurse saying that she didn't do so well on her vision test so I needed to make an eye appointment for her soon. I wasn't sure if it was really needed or not because I know that she really looks up to her 13 year old cousin who has glasses and really wouldn't be surprised if she did bad on purpose. I hate to think that she would do that but we all know how kids can be. Well, I took her to the eye doctor on Friday morning and the verdict is.....glasses are needed. She wasn't faking. And they assured me that they could tell. So, glasses have been ordered and I'll post a picture of her when they come in. My poor kids both have bad eyes like me. Mark's eyes aren't bad at all. He only needs to wear glasses once in a while if his eyes are bothering him from looking at the computer all day. That lucky duck! I have to put my glasses on just to see what time the clock says in the middle of the night!
We went to and auction gallery on Saturday morning and Mark bid on and won a golf bag. I didn't see anything that I wanted at that auction so I left empty handed. The same gallery had a furniture auction later that evening and I did get a few things there. I got a really cute desk and we got these HUGE shelf things. I'm not sure what we're going to do with the shelf units though. I mean, they are massive! Right now they're in our garage waiting for us to figure out their fate. We might completely sand them down and redo them or we might just leave them like they are. I'll update when I figure it out.
*Yay! notice* My sister started a blog a few days ago! I have been nagging at her to start one and she finally did! Yay!! Like I mentioned before, I am a blog addict :) I follow a few good blogs but I'm always looking for more to read. I especially like reading blogs from people I know. I tend to start feeling like I know the people whose blogs I read anyways so actually knowing them is a bonus!
Well, I need to get off here and do some more house cleaning. We are having some friends over tonight so I need to clean a little more than usual ;) You know how it is, tidying up for most days but cleaning for company.

Oh What A Day
I got a phone call from someone close to me saying that they might be moving really far away. Not good. Then I got another phone call from a friend that found out some horrible news today that has completely rocked her world. Not good again. I hate that I am here and not at home to be with the people that are dealing with these problems. I hate feeling helpless.
I have had a wonderful day just being with my kids today though. They always make me smile. Even when they aren't being exactly wonderfully behaved they can still make me smile. Noah is turning into such a goof! I love that he makes jokes and is so funny at just the times when I need it. And he can always sense when I need a hug. His hugs are magical. Chloe is hilarious too! She is my little drama queen too. Today they were swimming and when we came back in it was brought to her attention that she had a little bit of a sunburn on her arm. Well, from that point on all of a sudden her arm was hurting. Lol! And she is absolutely obsessed with band aids. It can be the tiniest little mark on her and she insists that she needs a band aid. I can't seem to get it through to her that she really doesn't need a band aid unless it is an open wound that is bleeding. Oh well, she is worth several boxes of unnecessary band aids.
Oh, and the end of a perfect day was that while using my new iPhone 4 (New, Hello!) it froze up and shut down. Would not come back on and couldn't even be recognized by my computer when I plugged it in! AHHHHHH!!!! I was in a panic! I didn't even buy insurance for it! Mark suggested that I press the two buttons and plug it in the computer to sync it. I kept pressing the only two buttons on the phone over and over and it finally recognized that it was plugged into my computer. The itunes program on my laptop showed an alert saying that my phone had to be restored back to the factory settings. Once that was over, and it took forever, it said it was ready to sync. Luckily I had just synced it to my computer this afternoon so I was able to get all my apps and music and everything else back on it! Very frustrating. I thought I might cry. I think it was a combo of all of the things that stressed me out all day hitting me at once and my eyes welled up. I regained my composure and held myself together though. I am proud of me :)
I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow so I guess I better end this post. Sweet Dreams! Crossing my fingers for a good day tomorrow!
